We create a unique environment where together we recycle electronic waste, while providing meaning and connection for participants and volunteers.
We have workshops where we take apart electronic items and sort the materials for recycling. It’s fun, we do our bit for the environment and we make friends.

Our Story
eWaste Connection was born from Monique's desire to find a meaningful purpose for her disabled son Joshua once he finished school. Monique noticed her son’s interest in taking things apart which led Monique and her family to start this not-for-profit organisation.
Since the day we opened our doors at Kenmore in 2016 to today, we continue to welcome participants and volunteers of all ages and abilities to help recycle electrical waste and reduce landfill.
Our three workshop sites have since recycled over 750,000 kilograms of eWaste and provided the opportunity for over 250 participants to take part in our workshops.

Our CEO and Board Members
Founder and CEO
Monique Lowndes
Bachelor of Commerce/Law, CPA, CTA, Registered SMSF Auditor.
After 25 years working in the taxation division of Arthur Andersen/EY, Monique changed direction completely.
eWaste Connection was conceived as she saw the need for a meaningful activity for people with disabilities or intellectual impairments like her son.
Monique has overseen the operations at eWaste Connection since late 2016 and continues to lead the business with dedication and passion.
Board Member
Charles Golding
Charles is an Australian Chartered Accountant who spent 18 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers, as a partner in the compliance and tax. He was the finance director of a LSE listed company and CFO of Brisbane based Mining3.
In a voluntary capacity he is a past Chairman of Outward Bound, Zimbabwe, a board secretary and financial adviser to two private schools, worked with Meals-on-Wheels and currently is the Honorary Treasurer for the Brookfield Show Society and a volunteer at eWaste Connection.
Board Member
Amy White
Amy is a sustainability and ESG specialist with over 17 years’ experience in consulting and in-house roles, advising organisations across multiple sectors in Australia and overseas.
She helps businesses to navigate complex sustainability challenges, identify risks, measure performance and integrate ESG into their strategy.
Amy holds a PhD from Bond University.
